Day 59 · Buddhism · September 28, 2026

Drop by drop.

Nobody thinks the one small decent thing counts, which is how the pot stays empty. The two-line text feels beneath the long call you'll make later, and that's exactly how it never happens. The verse isn't asking for a heroic morning. It's asking you not to despise the drop already in your hand. Before you plan the larger kindness today, send the two lines, fold the one thing, or say the small true thing that can actually land now.

Let no man think lightly of good, saying in his heart, It will not come nigh unto me. Even by the falling of water-drops a water-pot is filled; the wise man becomes full of good, even if he gather it little by little.

The Dhammapada, verse 122 (trans. F. Max Muller)
